I really enjoyed your piece on Gone Girl, as well. I also reblogged the NPR article, because that's been a point and a voice that's been missing in the criticism of the book. I enjoyed the novel but one of the things I loved was that Amy was a brilliant psychopath. I was truly stumped when the 'misogynist' label started getting thrown around. Fincher's film has expanded the dialogue, however. It's not just about gender roles, or trials by media, but about the dark side of a marriage.
